Puzzling Words

Weather is getting colder here at Rochester..

Seemed like snow is just around the corner (Yucks!)

Adapting to the weather, I stop cycling to school (actually my bicycle tire got flat again and uuukh how I hate to repair it!)

Taking the public bus again.. pfft.. ok

So taking the public bus, although it seems mundane, sometime interesting things can occur.. Like today,

I was in the bus, somebody play the bell to stop the bus. The bus stopped somewhere (not sure if its a bus stop coz its at the side of the road with darkness and all) and the guy who was going out of the bus said:

"Thank you! Thank you for being gracious and ignorant!" As he went out of the buss - having this weird expression on his face ..

Interpretations?

So I was thinking.. "wait, that doesnt sound right.. Gracious with Ignorant??? Doesn't go together in my dictionary"..

Is the bus driver gracious because he stopped at the bus stop exactly where he wanted? Or is it coz he stopped not at the bus stop but close to where the guy should have gotten off?
Is the bus driver ignorant because he did not hear the bell? Or is he ignorant because he stopped at some place where theres no bus stop (ignoring the road/bus rule)?
Or is simply because the guy was being sarcastic?

Either way, I could not decide what really happened and my mind was wondering about this conundrum for hours.. It's interesting, isn't it?

Ok so semester is going well so far! It much work, but doable.. And the class that I am taking this semester only has 2 exams! So most of the time I just write papers.. o_O


Since Summer, and Fall.. I have lived with new roomates/housemates.. They are all awesome!! At first I was kind of scared that we would have a lot of drama going on in the house.. You know.. But hey, nothing serious!!

Can't wait for my first pre-release magic tournament this saturday.. Have a nice weekend =D

Mtg M11 First Tourney

Card of the day. Simple but Powerful,,

I tried to play MTGO online tournament. I dont know much about previous set like Rise of Eldrazi and Zendikar. So I decided to join M11 Sealed deck tournament..

Sealed Deck is a format where every player receive 6 booster, and build a 40 cards deck out of it.. I like this format compared to "bring ur own deck" because it challenges ur ability to choose good cards from a pile.. It also eliminates the fact that opponent can have so many rares in one deck (since they are rich and buy all the rares in the world :/ )..

Ok, I have to admit that I do have outside help.. Mior and Syafrul helped me creating the deck..

Although it is my first time playing in Magic online tournament, I have confidence and excited to do well.. And that I did! I won 3 out of 4 games, losing to ranked 2 in the tournament.

The past few weeks, I've been biking to U of R whenever I am doing Psychology research work. Took me an everage of 35-40 minutes to reach there. Unfortunately my bicycle tire got leaked (by a mere stapler!!) so I take out my longboard and went to campus by bus.

Ok, bringing my longboard was a huge mistake. The road to campus to/from the bus stop are either too bumpy (not jalan tar) or jalan tar but too steep! (ofc kalo bukit terlalu curam nnt bahaye bwk longboard coz susah nak break =_=")..

Inside the bus, there is this family. A mum, a hot eldest daughter (19 or so), a son (5) and a small girl baby (1)..

The baby was crying out loud, albeit cute with curly blonde hair.. Almost all people sitting nearby was watching the baby and the mother that tries to sooth her.. I? I was standing (xde tmpt duduk) really close to them, hence watching the baby/mum and the hot teen every now and then ^_^

See, the baby didnt stop crying! From Mt Hope to the Mall, the baby went all out.. The mother tried everything (Patting her back, trying to give food or drink, playing with her, and carrying her while saying "Awww she is tired" --is this suppose to work? --) And the sister and brother being the misali siblings also helped their mum but to no avail..

When reaching the Mall, I think the bus driver can't stand it anymore.. lol.. Being cold and direct as any authoritative should be, she commanded "Excuse me Madam.. Your baby is very loud and disrupting the customer.. (No we're fine really.. a bit annoying but nothing that we cant chew).. You need to find a way to PACIFY her.. If you cannot, I'm afraid you have to go down here and catch the next bus.."

Hrmm its actually my first time to hear the word pacify being used in daily conversation :p So the family have no choice but to stand up, go out from the current bus and wait for the next bus.. (Yes the baby is still crying and have no clue that she is being kicked from the bus.. LOLOLOLOLOLOL)

Almost finished with psych research works for PSY266 on the fall.. Just a lil bit of editing to do..

Summer is almost over!! oMg.. I am not sure if I am ready to start class.. This semester going to be one heck of semester.. Imagine taking 5 classes - 3 of which are CS courses, 1 Psy and 1 Arabic for 4 credit each. Not enough? Try adding 2 Psych research work an extra 8 credit and top that with 2 CS intro TA for 4 credit! All amounts to, well.. 32 credit -.-"

Ok2, this is definitely an overkill in credit! I'll do the CS TA for cash instead xD Hence dropping to 28 credit.. Hopes the University accepts my overload :/

I assume everyone is familiar with TCG?

TCG basically stands for trading card games.

I remember my first TCG was pokemon TCG that I played on my GameBoy Color. When I first played, I didnt read the rules so I didnt know how to play (thought it was boring)..

But after knowing how to play, it get more fun and my brothers joined along.. When my brother returned from boarding school, he bring home a lot of pokemon TCG.. Only then I know the cards actually exist lol..

One of my favorite old-skool fire pokemon tcg. Charizard's 100 damage sure kill!

We also played Digimon TCG on PS1 which is very different from Pokemon TCG.. My cousin brings the actual card when we hang out at our GrandPa's.. I believe not many people are familiar with this. After all, Digimon company didnt do much to advertise their TCGs. Only their lame digimon gadgets =.="

After that, Yugioh was introduced. When you first watch it in TV, Yugioh seems lame.. Whats the point of summoning a weak creature when you can go for the kill with an awesome 3000 atk points of the Blue eyes white dragon? But the real-life TCG was way different than the way yugioh fight on TV. (You cant summon creatures with 5 star or more without a sacrifice).. Only after a certain amount of time they changed their battle rules on TV which is similar to the actual TCG. Yugioh cards have evolved alot since it first introduced. I gotta say the Yugioh 5d's currently airing is worth watching (assuming you are a yugioh tcg fan).

My current favorite card. Having this revived from graveyard, combo with Inferno Reckless Summon and Short Circuit, Resulting to a victory with a OTK (one turn kill). Famous among real yugi tcg players.

And Now, currently interested in MTG (Magic The Gathering)! MTG was nothing new. I first get to know the game in 2004 when Bob bring a lot of his MTG cards to MRSM Taiping. I guess becoz there are too much cards with too much effect so I wasn;t interested into getting to know all of em.

Idk why suddenly now I am interested with it. I guess I like the idea of rushing and staging your creatures to win.. It certainly much harder (strategy wise) to defeat your opponent. Plus, the Artwork of MTG is very eye catching.. Now, if only I have enough Mana to tap -_-"

I am the kind of guy who'll get annoyed/confused when presented with too many things at once.. (aren't we all? :O )..

Ok, one of the most obvious was when I use the internet.. Using internet requires you to use multiple tabs/window for different websites rite?.. So I usually have tabs for yahoo mail, school email, fb, occasionally the hsbc bank, ebay/amazon, google, youtube, and lately megashares (thanks to manche)..

so I get annoyed seeing so many tabs on my browser. Thus, ended up clicking "X" to remove "Idle" tabs most of the time.. But when I wanted to use it back, "pfft, I just closed that tab before. Now need to login again :/"..

Before I know it, clicking the "X" fast was my primary response! (habit)

Nak di jadikan cerita, petang smlm ade kwn YM tanye pasal something.. After I read it, BAM, X clicked... pastu baru terpk, SHOOT, camne nak respond?? dah la invi, pastu mmg tak penah online smpai da tak igt kat subgroup mane o_O (bad organizing group on my part T_T)

Being extremely busy is stressful. Having all sorts of work to be completed, just so you can survive. But being extremely free is also stressful. Imagining all the free time go to waste, without any productive activity at all. I rarely ask for ppl to do activity with me.. So when I ask, it does take a lot of courage and I mean it..

And, turns out, they usually reject.. which kinda sucks.. But do I have to stop asking? No.. Maybe the timing isnt right.. One thing for certain, another evening goes wasted :p

Back home in Malaysia, my mother is not a fan of pets. So we don't have any pets in the house.. I remember bringing back home a small stray kitten.. the poor thing was in hunger and seek belonging.. I felt very bad for the kitten, bringing it back home and feeded it. Before you know it, the cat sh*ts on the cement floor.. LOOOOOOL... My mum was angry.. She asked us to put the cat away and well, obviously clean the poo poo..

Since then, I never really have the idea of owning pets.. I met my friend at U of R who's a big fan of fish... he has black moors goldfish, guppies, tetras, and some other... He influenced me.. and make me wanted to own fishes myself. We both talked about how we wanted a pet shark which we think was super awesome (ofc such thing remain a dream :/) .. watched some pet shark video on youtube.. notably:



So, I bough a 5 gallon fish tank 6 month ago. Some died, some survived. Ecah momo who shared the same passion have a goldfish and one zebra danios.. When she went back to malaysia, she did not wanted to bring back home her fish. So she gave it to me. I love the goldfish so much! The color of the goldfish have changed to white. Idk why? Probably due to the light or food.. But I thought, fish are boring.. They cant do much and u cant touch them :(

Congratulation Spain

The FiFa World Cup 2010 was over last week. Congratulation Spain for winning! I never rooted for them in the beginning because they lost their first match. Who knew that lost become their milestone to become even more motivated to compete; heck even win the world cup!!

For me, this yeas World Cup and 1998 was more memorable compared to FiFa World Cup 2002 and 2006.

In 1998- I watched it with my mum and dad and my brothers at home. Still remember France Vs Brazil and watched Zidany Zidane got a goal from a corner kick.. Those were good times with my family! I thought France was awesome at that time.

When the world cup 2002 was broad casted, I was F2 in a boarding school. They are hardly any TV around, other than kedai makcik jah (if i remember correctly) and some other outside the wall. I know f5 always skipped isya or tazkirah to watch the world cup.. I was like "meeh, too much trouble.. World cup? who cares pffft".. As ignorant as I was, no one can resist the temptation of the WC FINAL! Not even me.. so I remembered I red news about how Oliver Khan, German keeper was the bomb and the reporter have high hopes on the German. So I rooted for German, but they lost to Brazil 2-0.. sigh~

In 2006, I was in intec when the WC was live. I didnt have TV in my apartment. I only watched a couple by coincidence if they are gathering of people watching soccer. Although I do read the news about the scores and stuff. I rooted for Brazil since they won the last world cup. But they lost to France in the quarter final.. Yes "Anything can happen with soccer!"

In 2010, I have a lot of free time and I have a big 46inch TV in my house. Watching soccer was never this fun!!.. :D Plus they are others watching like Syafrul who keeps on predicting the tournament winner. He predicted Spain vs Brazil and Spain will win. His prediction was slightly wrong but you got to give that man some credit I guess. Mior was rooting for the Germans. He even bought a German Jersey FOR THE LULZ! AAAh I hate the German team since Oliver Khan disappointed me.. I always rooted againts German.. Rooted for England, Lost. But Spain finally defeated German. That was probably my golden moments during this WC.. "Casillas kot!!!"said Me and Naje as Casillas was able to save a shot from the German. And they are others like JiJi Joe Napi and Aimii who'd come watching the match every now and then..

Lastly, the 2010 world cup was fun because the blog http://sokernet.blogspot.com/ have very crazy yet entertaining entry.. Thanks for the awesome sokernet bloggers! You make my day!!

summer psychology research

So basically I am not doing my own research. I am just helping the professor creating a bunch of research questionnaire and study to be run this upcoming fall so that I can TA for that class. What I liked the most about the research is because some time I got to use my HTML and Javascript skills to apply it in making up this questionnaires!!

Talk about Computer Science + Psychology Combo!!

Maybe I should run my own research? myb not? I'll just work for the professor for now.. Plus its fun and motivational :D a bit frustrating at times, but hey, that's life! not always having stuff ur way =.="

exaggeration

Hey, my friend like to exaggerate a lot! he always says "oh this is the best!" or so.. well there is nothing wrong with that. I do think he really mean it which is amusing to me. Like a couple days back,

he said: "Barry, do you want to get Ice cream!. I could take you to Netsins the BEST icecream place in rochester!!"
Me:"Really? Better than Friendly's?" (the one i sometimes eat at home that asip n mio liked so much)..
He:"Yea! better than friendly's, coldstone and abbot. And people dont even know!"

Me:"lol really.. Ok lets go!"


We went there and I get Orange Pineapple + Cotton candy Icecream.. Bought a large cup for like 3 dollar...



We eat it outside in the warm, windy summer.. The icecream was indeed awesome ! love it! But im not sure if you would call it the best ice cream in rochester.. My friend disagree, he said it taste just perfect, like it is not exaggerating in sugar or flavor.. well it just a matter of opinion..

The thought of finishing class is only momentarily! While everything seems to come to an end, a new chapter begins.. Hence summer session! Which start next week! Haven't bought books, but we'll see. Also doing summer research with a well-known Professor in the Social Psychology field.. Still a noob, need to learn to do media lab and DirectRT :-s Nevertheless, a pass of success seems opened, dimmed before but strengthened now.. All that is left is for me to be motivated.. In which I am so-so in it.. How could I be? I have so many dilemma that is so hard to explain.. Yup! I am at my limit, wait maybe not..

"Yes we can" or so that's what Obama said.. I shall change my perception.. My nab faulty thinking.. or perhaps even meet a therapist.. that's what my friend suggest.. How? Yup people who knows me knows that I said "how" a lot.. a blonde bimbo? NOOOOOO!!~ :(

For those who doesn't have an alarm clock, or not a handphone alarm fan, you can make your computer act as an alarm!! Yesterday, I told mio that I could program one using html+javascript or possibly php.. BUT i thought, well people might hv already make it.. ( a cold hard truth about programming that explains massive usable programming libraries).. so we search for it on google and the first ranked was pretty much what we need!

1-unable to repeat the video once it done

3-no snooze ( but I guess if you came to your laptop to close the window u might as well set a new one! took 10 secs.)

But still, its pretty neat. Would be nice to program myself, myb I try it later. As of now, there's so many things at my arsenal T_T

Next week is last week of class! Still got some work to do, but I am so glad this semester is almost over.. After this, there's summer class but atleast I got 1-2 week break before it..

Cant wait for summer.. will be living with 5 guys.. The more the merrier they say? Just hope theres not too much drama in the house!! =.=

Happy birthday Aimi! Since takde idea nak tulis pe kat blog, might as well dedicate an entry to your birthday.. Lame dah kenal Aimi nih.. Since mule2 masuk intec kat kelas chicago agi.. Time tu lak orang kate aimi "hot" dlm kelas chicago (but yeah our class got like 3 girls in it xD).. mmg hot n ramai la nak Aimi ni xD Tp yeah Napi berjaya memikat hati Aimi dahulu and Alhamdulillah dyorang dah berumah tangga dah pun.. but still maintain ayu ye kak.. I have my highest respect for them becoz dpt kawen awal and still maintain study and hal rumah tangga.. ni orang2 yg gd sense of responsibility je kan handle.. So congrats Aimi and wish u a got panjang umur and be happy with Napi together..

Theory

Before, I have this theory,

"If i sleep in an uncomfortable place, then it's easier for me to wake up in the morning!"

So is my theory true?

what happen to me was, i did in fact wake up early, BUT something else also comes with it... Those things are:

1- Wake up earlier than intended! (4,5am)

2-Even if I wake up on time, you still feel tired and wanted to have a more comfortable sleep again!

3- I got an unusual feeling about my body ( myb someplace hurt, cram, or feel too cold)..

Hrmm, so its better to sleep at a comfortable place and have your alarm ON. You'd wake up refreshed, bodily healthy and ready to go!

Disaster does not smells.

First of all, I dont like the idiom "Malang tidak berbau". Why? Coz its too common sense. Idk who come up with that term, but i believe its nothing special. "tidak berbau" in direct translation means "no smell".. But in an implicit definition, it means that it is unpredictable, undetectable, unknown until it happen.. Well sure thats seems plausible, but fact is, any other things can be like that.. I could say "nasib baik tidak berbau, result tidak berbau, kekayaan tidak berbau" and it will make sense. More critically, the term itself is not absolute.. Consider a situation where a driver have loose tires, or was drunk.. Can we say that we smell danger? "sure we can!" When a statement is not absolute, it lost it credibility, but i wouldnt say its wrong.. It just that it can still go both ways, it can smell or not smell having given the right situation...

In relation to that, we can see that "ignorance is bliss" is also not absolute and can go both ways.. It can be a bliss, or a disaster.. A bliss example -> A guys who does not know that his house previous owner committed suicide at that house.. Not knowing make the guy live normally *assuming there is no ghost*.. Knowing would possibly make that guy think about it and be bothered.. A disaster example would be a person who break the law but didnt know it.. Today's law pretty much stand by the term "ignorance is not an excuse" so you are still be punished for your crimes even if you dnt know!

Digressed from the main thing that i want to say.. Last friday i took the bus back home as usual.. A women press the bell *ding* to go out of the bus stop.. however, the bus stop that she was suppose to go was temporarily unavailable due to construction so the driver bus said :"I cant let u off here, i'll let you off at the next stop." Women said :"I dont care." So upon arriving at the next stop, the bus driver did not stop. LOL.. so the women was like ":S" as she pressed the button again and again but it did not ring because it only ring once until the driver deactivate the signal.. So she was pissed.. ANd the driver realised it that he missed the bus stop after 20m away from it.. He was Like "OMG, i forgot!".. Idk what get into him, but he started to control the bus strangely *gelabah* and hit a car that coming from the opposite lane! *bam!* I was stunned. i was actually drinking water and it spill out and hit my bag!.. urkhh.. and so a man came out of his car and said "yo wtf man! You just trashed my friend's car! *calling his friend, pissed*.. I was stucked in the bus and they bring another bus to bring us back..

SECRETS

Everybody have secrets. Some are dark, while some are as bright as day. But usually we tend to keep the dark secret to ourselves. Why? Coz if people know, it might change the situation entirely.. I think secret are spread due to the temptation "I cannot hold it anymore!"

But sooner or later, the temptation of wanting to tell the secret begin to grow. We kept it lock in our heart so much that we wish someone would hear about it and share the pain and sorrow that we felt.

Unfortunately, you got to be careful to whom you share your secret with. Coz some people cant just hold their mouth. They are likely to spill the beans before you know it.

I think the reason in why they like to tell people so much is because:

1- They proud to know the secret and be the one who tell it to others..

2- Possibly think the person wont tell anyone else ESpecially the secret of that person him/herself so there is no harm??

3- They think that people SHOULD know the truth, even though the truth hurts..

This is where I disagree. I don't think people should know the truth to everything. Let say if a guy was drunk and cheated on his wife, and I know the secret, As a friend, SHOULD I tell his wife? I don't think I should.. What I should do though, is possibly advice him, telling him that it is wrong and stuff.. There are times that someone should know the truth, but as a bystander, you don't really have that much power to spread it. Its not fair to the person who has the secret. Let them decide whether to tell or not...

4. Other reason which is unknown to me.

I do hate when people say "I'll tell them that you said that to me!" in a joking way when you tell them your secret.. Do they think that it is something to joke about? People are entrusting you with secrets and you make fun of it.. idk about you, but for those guys i wont share my secret anymore regardless if they tell it to someone or not.. Coz they are potential blackmailers.

Should I even explain why I hate black mailer??

Obviously, because they know your secret, and threatened you to do something for their benefit otherwise they'll spread the news..

The only time I can remember being blackmailed is when I broke into the middle school computer lab to play games ^_^ My friend got busted and said "Barry, if you dnt want us to tell the warden that you also break into the computer lab, then treat us to burger tonight!".. Well i did in fact treat them coz they did withheld not to tell the warden about me so they do deserve it. But I'm sure others have experienced worst...

Yesterday I had the weirdest dream.. I dont usually hv dream, but when I do, it tend to be long with like 2-3 different dream.. (and i wake up late the morning!!) ... Of course it is hard to remember those dream because its not reality. You dnt really experience them.. But since yesterday was sort of odd, so I can remember it.. most if not all =.="

So the dream start of normally. I was back home in Malaysia.. Probably back in Bndr Tun Hussein Onn .. Not quite sure.. But for some reason, I hated people.. God forbid, I bombed my home when my family was around.. So I act natural, trying to not the police know that I did it.. (sort of like playing mafia and using jiji's innocence face and said "BUKAN AKU!!").. But I figured eventually they'll know.. (guess CSI has a big impact on this notion).. So i was scared.. What should I do.. Hrmm suddenly I remembered a quote from optimus prime of transformers 2 "I'll take you all on!" sure fighting againts the police seems retarded, much less stupid..

So I bombed another place wheres there innocent people living.. OMG what hv i Done?? Theres no turning back now.. You know in CSI where ppl said "criminals tend to go back to their crime scene".. So did I in the dream!! I went back and checked make sure I didnt leave any evidence.. For some reason, People noticed me.. Oh I'm in trouble??

My suspicion came true.. Police cars came "swarming" my house.. Wait, how did I get a new house when my original house was bombed? =.=" (a dream faulty there).. I fled to the back door.. Like a techies using a remote bomb I said "See you die".. BOOOMER BOOM! hrmm how evil I was.. Some police survived the epic explosion.. They still searching for me...

I ran as fast as I can... Remembered a quote from LOTR that gandalf says to Frodo "When you travel, Stay out of the road!' Who am I to surpass the speed of a police car? So yes I hided away from the road, blend myself with nature and buildings.. The police, beginning to comform that it is my crime, looked all out for me..

Search as they may, they'll never find me ^_^

I guess "You can run, but you can't hide" is not necessarily true :/

Question: Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)?

Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle's Law (gas cools when it expands and heats when it is compressed) or some variant.

One student, however, wrote the following:

First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So we need to know the rate at which souls are moving into Hell and the rate at which they are leaving. I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving. As for how many souls are entering Hell, let's look at the different religions that exist in the world today.

Most of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there is more than one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell. I think there is a flaw somewhere. Or it could just mean Hell defy the logic. Interesting answer though.

Lost Key

Last Sunday we had bbq and played volleyball a bit. It was fun going outside even though it was a bit cold. Unfortunately asip locked the door but lost the key! We search it for like 1hour and decided to call public safety to open up our house with their master key.

Just bought it last week and I like it very much! My first dslr camera =.=" Still not mastering how to use to its best potential but I think I have a general Idea. Now my main source of tutorial is youtube. Who knew youtube can be more than just an entertainment source.

Spring Break

Finally having my spring break!! what to do? where to go? I want to go somewhere atleast.. It doesnt hv to be far as long as its fun.. more economical if possible : P

Well this spring break is not necessarily a gd feelinsg at first.. Coz I hv midterms and Homework that is due after spring break .. So i guess i couldnt be away too much..

Almost finish playing demon's soul!! only 2 more bosses to go.. it proves that if you dnt give up and practise much, you can do it! (not for all though) wish i could apply this more in academic xD

Weird Dream

Go

Yesterday, I dream I am a pro Go player. It was really weird! coz i am super bad at go =.=.. so I was hang out with my friends who's also are Pro Goers. But thing in that world, I didnt play go for a while. My friend asked me to play againts random amateur that we can find nearby..

I said to them:
"amateur? Gimme any amateur and i can beat them in 20 moves!"


So my friend hook me up to an amateur that I know of..(manche) We played.. The dream kinda fast forward to the point where I have to make a critical move.. I felt like the game is so complicated and I've become the REAL me, the one that doensnt know how to play go..

In the current game position, I was 3-way trapped by the amateur, he could gain points either by 100, 1000, or 10000.. But i didnt see the 10000 point move... after a while, I moved to avoid the 1000 points.. just to find out that manche moved to take the 10000 points! But then he said it was 30000 points because of the special formation he make.. Idk whats going on but i nodded agreeing it was 30000 (dnt want make myself look like a noob)..

I resigned.. (impossible to make a comeback).. I said to them: "I havent played for a while!! I lost my touch"! I beg to my friend Marcus to teach me how to be pro again but he said "DO YOU THINK ITS EASY TO BE A PRO??" and then we're about to fight.. the dream ends..

A very good friend of mine just broke up with his gf..

Apparently he blame the long distance relationship.. College is tough and he had a really bad weeks so he was not in the mood and broke up with his gf..

When he come to his senses and more calm, he tried to make it back to his gf but his gf did not forgive him..

I feel really sad coz I always thought they were very cute together.. I guess long distance is not for everybody.. He did manage to keep it up for years though..

whats done is done.. But its hard to move on.. I know coz ive been stuck in this bad feeling for awhile now... Idk how to go out of this shell.. =.=

Regardless, ive wish him the best of luck.. let us have a more happy life.. slowly, but surely :)

Apparently, my cousin Zaimah is entering a Mas competition called "Saya nak cuti". Basically the competition is about people introducing themselves and arguing why they deserve to have a free trip. (kinda desperate huh?). Still its a good thing if she win. I mean, really. I myself would love to get a free trip to Hanoi or whatever.. lol..

Global Unification

Based on my friend's advice, In order for me to improve my sociallness and be less shy, I had to go out and go to events.. Luckily, yesterday there is an event called Global Unification held at RIT which is a good place for me to be less shy, reduce my social phobia and become more social (supportive) : D

Hence, the point of coming there was really to interact with people.. Sure for someone like me, it wasnt an easiy task.. I was quickly overwhelmed by the amount of malay ppl present.. From the familiar faces like pao, naje, freshman, to unfamiliar faces like najmi, mat, jie... But this time I control it a bit... I didnt manage to talk to all of em, but I did manage to make conversation with lot of people.. I guess its true that a simple "Hi" wont hurt..

I think Im improving.. The world of socialness has never been this fun : D I wanna be a better person!! I love people!! LoL

Congratulations to all the performers of MySA and the supporters!! You guys show amazing spirit :) Keep up the good work xD

Bold

How can someone be so bold? I feel like ive been shy all my life and I want to discover how to be bold.. People says that well if you want to be bold, you should just ignore what people think about you.. I find that very hard to do.. I always think about myself and ive always avoided attention.. Really need to learn the secret to be more bold and confident o_O

Because when I shy, it usually lead to more negative things like depression, social phobia, anxiety, disjoy.. I never ment to be rude or ignorant to anyone, I just cant handle the pressure of social interaction. (why is there a pressure to begin with?) T_T

Yesterday, when i was taking the bus to the University, A man went inside the bus, saying loudly with energy in his voice "Does anyone have a dollar? I forgot my pass card this morning." No one answered for a sec so I decided to help him.. Ofc I was shy to answer myself, so I decided to (halfly) raise my hand, he sees me and I give him the dollar..

It literally amaze me.. I, even in my wildest dream, I would never do such thing.. Probably in the most desperate situation I would beg the bus driver for mercy (cause it was 1 person attention compared to the whole bus!).. Lately my shyness is getting worse..

This madness has to stop before it get too worse and to the point where I dont have friends anymore.. The feeling is there, just need to "make it work".. Someone also say to me that no matter how smart you are, you wont go far in carreer if you too shy and dont have social skills...

Such a dilemma...

On my web programming class, there is an assignment where you have to do a web page related to pie.. So our professor, as funny as he always is, said you can have extra credit if you bring your own baked pie to class..!

"Make the pie described in this assignment and bring it to class to share on 1/27/2010. Replace the stock picture of the pie on the web page with your very own pie (or the fun you had baking it)."

we were laughing and ofc, no ppl actually bothered to do such thing.. thats what i originally thought.. but, i was wrong! Turns out there this girl actually make the pie and bring it to class.. Talk about kiasu o_O
